What is Unlock your Future?

After being fortunate enough to fund her entire university education through scholarships, Brittany Palmer wanted to share with others what she learned through trial and error while going through the scholarship process. On a mission to make scholarships approachable for students, Brittany created her company Unlock your Future: The Key to Scholarships. Traveling to secondary schools and conferences throughout the province, Brittany delivers an in-depth scholarship seminar to illustrate funding opportunities and provide a step-by-step program to approach them. Brittany helps conquer common scholarship fears and misconceptions to illustrate to students that scholarships are indeed possible.

Since its creation in 2005, Brittany has traveled from Vancouver Island to BC's Interior and presented UYF to thousands of students, parents and teachers. In addition to the seminar, UYF also offers private consultation sessions, an online Student Resource Centre and an official Unlock your Future Scholarship Workbook and Kit.

In 2009, Brittany took the program to the next level with the launch of the Unlock your Future Scholarships. Available exclusively to students who have participated in an aspect of the Unlock your Future program, Brittany has presented these scholarships to nine students over the last three years.
